Immerse yourself in serenity and discover the majestic lakes of Moycullen!

Kayaking along the shores of Ballyquirke Lough, you’ll learn new skills and techniques whilst safely supervised by our qualified instructors.

Ballyquirke Lough is surrounded by woodlands and reedbeds, so there are plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife as you explore. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of wildlife including birds, otters, mink, stoat, frogs, bats and more!

Depending on your group’s experience and desire for adventure, our instructors can set team challenges and fun games as you navigate the shoreline and weave through the lake's canal systems.

Our kayaks are double seated to enable family members or friends to paddle together on the lake, through canals and quiet bays, taking in the abundant nature that surrounds. Kayaks can be booked for 2 x 16 years + or 1 x 16 years + and 1 x 8-15 year old.

Practical Information

Min booking: 2 persons per kayak. Kayaks can be booked for 2 x 16 years + or 1 x 16 years + and 1 x 8-15 year old. U16’s MUST be accompanied on the water by a 16 yrs + participant.

Please bring the following items for your water session:

Swim Suit / Togs, Towel, runners or suitable footwear you don’t mind getting wet, a warm change of clothes for after the activity.

We will supply all safety equipment, wetsuits and changing facilities are available to you pre and post activity.

PLEASE NOTE:

Changing into and out of wetsuits will be accommodated for this initial period in the shower area of our main building - gents and ladies changing area.

Guests must walk to access and return from lake in initial phase, this walk is approx. 10 min duration each way.

Changing / shower facilities will be available near to our lake location for 2022.

Our trained and experienced instructors will be on hand to support your water experience. Safety and enjoyment are paramount and our fully qualified instructors will deliver an introductory safety brief to every group and individual. They will help to navigate you out onto the lake and safely supervise your group session while on the water, offering guidance throughout to build your confidence on the water.
